La-Z-Boy will be exhibiting at a Scottish furniture show for the first time.
We will be showcasing our new made in the UK ranges at Northpoint 2021 – a furniture and interiors show held in Edinburgh’s Highland Hall. It will be the first time we have had a stand at the event, which is taking place from September 12 to 14.
The trade show is aimed at retailers in Scotland and the north of England and exhibitors include furniture, lighting and flooring brands.
Tristan Pyke, head of sales for independents at La-Z-Boy UK said “We’re really excited to be attending the Northpoint Furniture Show. It will be a great platform for us to showcase our brand-new made in UK ranges to our existing customers in Scotland and provides an opportunity to welcome new retailers to the La-Z-Boy UK brand.
“It’s an extremely focused and relevant show for us and our customer base and we can’t wait to be a part of it.”
British-made ranges will be on display
The La-Z-Boy stand will include our new Made in the UK collections, which were first launched at the Manchester Furniture Show back in July. These furniture ranges are made in a Lancashire factory rather than being imported from our production centres overseas.
Moving the production of some of our furniture to Britain will give us more control over the supply chain and reduce the amount of time retailers and customers have to wait for products.
The decision will also help support the UK economy and reduce the carbon footprint of each item of furniture.
So far, we have designed eight different Made in the UK collections in a range of different colours, fabrics and leathers.
This month’s event will bring buyers, retailers and manufacturers together at Northpoint for the first time in more than two and a half years as the last time the Scottish furniture show was held was in January 2019 and unfortunately, it has been postponed since.
