Sofa giveaway raises awareness of disabilities

A sofa giveaway on social media has helped to raise awareness of issues faced by people with disabilities.

La-Z-Boy UK donated one of its sofas to be given away in a competition running on ABLE2UK’s Twitter feed. The organisation publishes articles about disability and includes information on accessibility on its website.

In the contest, everyone who followed the ABLE2GO Twitter account and retweeted the competition post was entered into a prize draw to win the three-seater leather sofa recliner. A winner was then picked out of the eligible entries at random.

The sofa donated for the competition was part of the Winslow range in the concise ink leather colourway.

La-Z-Boy UK often donates items of furniture for good causes and is keen to give something back to the community. Previous donations have included sofas and recliners to improve the rest areas on Royal Navy ships and in air ambulance bases.

Designed and Manufactured in Britain

The Made in Britain campaign is a movement designed to bring together the manufacturing community in the UK, awarding companies who manufacture their products in Britain a collective mark we can use on our products and communications.

The mark proudly demonstrates La-Z-Boy’s commitment to supporting the local economy and community.

You can identify our UK manufactured products by the Made in Britain flag on the product’s photos.

We launch new ranges throughout the year, so be sure to follow us on social media and check back to keep up-to-date with our new products.
