Manual or electric?
La-Z-Boy makes both manual and power recliners and it’s worth taking a moment to decide which type is best for you. Manual recliner chairs are operated using a latch or handle and tend to use a simple mechanism which adjusts the seat. One of the main advantages of a manual recliner is that it doesn’t use any electricity and can go anywhere in the house as you don’t need to plan for it to be positioned near a plug socket. They can also be a more affordable option and are very low maintenance. Power recliners need to be near a mains supply but often come with more features than a manual chair. Power recliners use an electric motor which gently changes the position of the chair until you are comfortable. They are extremely easy to operate as you simply need to touch a button. Some La-Z-Boy models also come with USB charging points so you can charge your phone or tablet while you are relaxing.
